This is a time of financial crisis for all of us. Arts organizations are feeling the crunch like all businesses. We have to make choices - what in our lives is most important to us? We must do what we can to keep those things alive.

Once again this year we have not increased our ticket prices, although the costs of production keep going up. Box office revenue falls far short of covering our costs. In fact, ticket sales cover only 50% of the actual costs to produce our plays. The remaining 50% must come from the financial support of foundations, corporations and individuals with a dedication to keeping the arts alive in our community.

The Banyan Theater Company will not be able to continue without help from you. Your tax-deductible donation is critical to help us keep ticket prices reasonable and continue to grow for many summers to come! Please consider making a donation in one of these categories:

Season Benefactors are passionate about the cultural life of Sarasota. Generous contributions of $25,000 and up help the Banyan Theater Company throughout its entire summer season. Special recognition is awarded to Season Benefactors in the Banyan season program.

Season Co-Producers donate $6,000 to assist with the costs of producing the entire season. Season Co-Producers’ names appear on each title page in the Banyan season program.

Play Co-Producers donate $2,500 to assist with the costs of producing a specific play within the season. Co-Producers’ names appear on the title page of their selected play in the Banyan season program.

Banyan Founders’ Society members commit to contributing $1,000 per season for three consecutive seasons, helping to ensure the company’s future.
